The Center of Intelligent and Autonomous Systems (CIAS) focuses on the theory and practice of innovative intelligent and autonomous systems. Such systems are increasingly applied in areas ranging from professional service applications to industrial applications and household applications. New applications and technologies push forward the need for new development and research areas, resulting in new issues to be considered to apply intelligent and autonomous systems in a trusted, reliable, and efficient manner. The recent advances in Artificial Intelligence provide new technologies in the areas of Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Reinforcement Learning, and Adaptive Algorithms that can further improve the safety, flexibility, and robustness of these systems to be more suitable for adverse real-world environments.

        The Center’s main focus of research and development work is directed towards resolving new and existing problems related to and associated with AI solutions. The solutions we aim for would be functional, practical, and implementable in various technological platforms. We propose conducting research in industrial, production, and exploratory processes, which are vulnerable to inefficiencies and hazards.

  • To foster interdisciplinary smart systems that encourage innovative, ground-breaking, and sustainablesolutions to improve the quality of life.
  • To promote the use of intelligent and autonomous systems for increased efficiencyand safety, especially in industrial processes.
