FSKTM is an acronym for Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology in Malay: Fakulti Sains Komputer dan Teknologi Maklumat
The establishment history of Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology (FSKTM), Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia started in September 2000 with the establishment of the Department of Information Technology and Multimedia (JTMM), Faculty of Engineering Technology, Kolej Universiti Tun Hussein Onn (KUiTTHO). In May 2004, JTMM moves ahead with the establishment of Faculty of Information Technology and Multimedia (FTMM) which was operating at
the Parit Raja City Campus, Batu Pahat, Johor.
On 24 August 2010, FTMM achieved another milestone when the UTHM Board of Directors agreed to rebrand the faculty to Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology. Through the rebranding, three departments are established: Department of Software Engineering, Department of Multimedia, and Department of Information Security and Web Technology.
Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology, Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM) is located in Parit Raja, Batu Pahat, Johor Darul Takzim. UTHM is situated along the Batu Pahat – Ayer Hitam route. It is approximately 30 minutes (20KM) from Batu Pahat town and approximately 15 minutes (15KM) from Ayer Hitam township. North-South Highway users are required to take the Air Hitam/Batu Pahat exit to reach UTHM.
