UTHM Celebrated as Winner of MD PDTI Tech Club Video Contest 2025 at MD PDTI Meeting

PUTRAJAYA, 4 December 2025 – Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM) proudly received national recognition after being officially announced as the Winner of the MD PDTI Tech Club Video Contest 2025, represented by the Information Technology Club (ITC) from the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology (FSKTM). The announcement was made during the MD PDTI Deans & Heads of Department (HODs) Meeting (Q4) held at the Pulse Grande Hotel, Putrajaya.

The award-winning video was produced by ITC’s talented creative team, led by Video Editor Hasurdeen and Club President Shaamalan, under the guidance of Club Advisor Puan Suriawati. The Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) praised the video for its compelling storytelling, clear message, and strong visual direction, which distinguished UTHM among participating institutions nationwide.

During the ceremony, MDEC formally announced UTHM as the contest winner and presented the cash prize mock cheque, marking a moment of pride for the university and FSKTM. The recognition highlights UTHM’s role in fostering digital creativity and innovation, as well as FSKTM’s commitment to providing students with opportunities to develop technical skills and industry-relevant experience.

Among 41 tech clubs nationwide, UTHM stood out by submitting one of the select entries to the contest, ultimately claiming victory through exceptional creativity and innovation. The winning video not only showcased technical expertise but also reflected the vision, teamwork, and dedication of UTHM students in promoting meaningful digital content.

Prof. Ts. Dr. Mohd Farhan bin Md Fudzee, Dean of FSKTM, expressed his pride over the achievement: “This recognition underscores the commitment of our students and faculty in embracing digital innovation. We are delighted to see UTHM’s talent shine on a national platform and inspire others to pursue creative excellence.”

The event also provided UTHM representatives with the opportunity to network with academic leaders, industry partners, and fellow innovators, fostering future collaborations and exposure for the university.

Through the efforts of FSKTM and ITC, UTHM celebrates this achievement as a reflection of the university’s dedication to nurturing future-ready digital talents.
